September 2, 2020 – Ottawa, Ontario, Canada – QuadC, a platform that helps educational institutions effortlessly deliver their student support services to improve student retention, has signed two new post-secondary institutions in the U.S. and Canada to help educators and administrators deliver effective remote tutoring and academic support services for students, bringing to 25 the number of colleges and universities in North America that use the company’s platform.

Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM)

Morehouse School of Medicine, located in Atlanta, GA, trains physicians, biomedical scientists and public health practitioners. The school was recently recognized as top among U.S. medical schools for its social mission that includes, according to its website, an “emphasis on people of color and the underserved urban and rural populations in Georgia, the nation, and the world.”

MSM uses QuadC to connect students with academic-related services such as student academic support, writing support, and career and counselling services. Some 61 tutors and five faculty members use the platform to deliver these services to more than 200 students. An easy-to-use user interface, available collaboration tools, and streamlined processes for managing accounts, attendance and access control have made QuadC the right fit for MSM’s needs.

“What we enjoy most is QuadC’s ability to capture data in real-time, which assists with our metric-driven decision making to support our students best,” said Dezarae Blossomgame, Program Manager of MSM’s Office of Student Learning and Educational Resources. “Thanks to QuadC, we can continue to provide all students at MSM effective and efficient academic support.”

Testimonial From GSU Learning And Tutoring Center Theo Tate (Math & Online Tutoring Supervisor)

“The main thing is flexibility to get the platform on a big machine like GSU. There are lots of departments and moving parts. Each department is looking for a slightly different solution. So, in addition to getting the things we need for the Learning and Tutoring Center, we have things we need for the SI department – like drop-in tutoring. They need breakout sessions.

The best thing that I can brag about QuadC is the communication. If you can do it then and there, then you will have it done next week. and if you can't, then you will say OK, we can do that, but that’s a new feature and will take time to implement. Yet you always get it done, and you always deliver on your promises.

Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU)

Kwantlen Polytechnic University delivers more than 120 programs and serves 20,000 students from five campuses located in the Metro Vancouver region of British Columbia. KPU offers bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, diplomas, certificates, and citations to meet the evolving needs of regional and global employment markets successfully.

KPU uses QuadC to coordinate scheduling and track online and in-person tutoring sessions. More than 3,800 students and 135 tutors use QuadC’s virtual classroom environment to achieve the next best thing to in-person sessions with file-sharing, white-boarding, chat and other features. KPU turned to QuadC in its search for a platform that was more stable, more cost-effective, and more adaptable for remote peer-to-peer learning and the professional development of its tutors.

“We consider peer-to-peer learning an essential and effective learning method to help students perform at a higher level,” said Lyn Benn, Director, Student Development at KPU and Vice-President of the Learning Specialists Association of Canada. “QuadC’s online platform provides our students with the peace of mind and the tools they need to make the most of remote learning while meeting our high standards for quality, academic integrity, privacy and IT security. The QuadC team is exceptionally helpful and responsive to our needs.”

Pandemic drives post-secondary interest

QuadC now has 25 post-secondary institutions and supports over 100,000 students, tutors and faculty members on its platform in the U.S. and Canada.

“In recent months, we have experienced an uptick in interest for a platform that can help colleges and universities better manage their supplemental learning programs and other virtual learning requirements during this uncertain time in which we find ourselves,” said Will Li, Co-Founder and CEO of QuadC. “We welcome the opportunity to help these institutions ensure their students and faculty prosper through the pandemic and beyond.”

QuadC provides departmental and support-centre administrators at post-secondary institutions with all the tools they need to manage their institution’s academic support programs effortlessly.
